Lea Sta is an applied mathematician with experience in cell signalling and receptor-ligand models. She graduated from ENSTA Paris with a double master in engineering and applied mathematics and specialised in mathematical modelling and simulation. She holds a PhD in mathematical immunology from the University of Leeds in mathematical and computational models of cell signalling which take into account cell-to-cell variability in receptor copy numbers. She also proposed a method, which makes use of algebraic tools, to compute exact expressions of the amplitude and EC50 of dose-response curves, thus showing how these two pharmacological quantities depend on affinity binding constants
and receptor copy numbers. Lea joined Physiomics in 2023 as a Biosimulation scientist.
